Way before photography was an idea in my mind, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I got my education degree, did some graduate work, and taught in a classroom for 4 years. Then—long story very short—I made the difficult decision to step away from the classroom so I could take my photography business full-time.
Though I was excited to focus all my energy on photography, I definitely left a piece of my heart in teaching. Nothing lights my fire quite like watching a lightbulb go off in a student’s head. I geek out when I am able to design a curriculum to take my students from point A to point B (and point C and beyond!)
So it is with great anticipation that I am launching the education sector of my business—something that truly allows me to join my two passions and share with you what I’ve learned after more than ten years of experience as a professional photographer.
