All I can say about Kelsey and Alex’s engagement session is wow! Not actually, as that would make this a pretty short article, but seriously, WOW. Joining Kelsey and Alex in Chicago and exploring the Windy City while snapping their engagement photos was such a treat. I honestly can’t wait for their wedding day to come in 2026, but for now I suppose reliving the magic of their engagement session is going to have to do!
Engagement Photos Throughout Downtown Chicago
Kelsey and Alex wanted their engagement photos to feel authentically Chicago, and the best way to make that happen is to get right in and explore the city. From historic and iconic buildings, to charming neighborhoods that are BURSTING with character, Chicago is a city of variety. This makes the experience of an engagement session in the city SO much fun as there are practically endless locations to choose from! For Kelsey and Alex’s session, we chose to check off nearly every box when it came to locations and settings in the Windy City.
Our first stop was the breathtaking Chicago Cultural Center, which is legitimately one of THE best indoor locations for engagement photos in the city. We also swung by the Lazy Bird Bar for a quick drink and some classy photos. Next up was the iconic North Avenue Beach, who’s view of the Chicago skyline makes it one of the most popular spots in the city for photos. To finish things off Kelsey, Alex, and I spent the remainder of our time walking around and exploring Chicago’s wonderful Lincoln Park Neighborhood.
Enjoying Chicago to the Fullest
Throughout our exploration of Chicago, Kelsey and Alex were practically radiant. One of the things that I love most about my job is being able to document the love my couples share in a way that’s meaningful to them. For Kelsey and Alex that love was on full display throughout this city that they adore. From a quick stolen kiss underneath the Tiffany Dome of the Cultural Center, to the joy in their faces as they dance together on North Avenue Beach, their engagement photos are an authentic celebration of their love for each other and their love for Chicago!
