A wedding is one of the most important celebrations we have in life. It’s the moment where two become one, and where your true journey as a couple begins together. Megan and David knew this, and it was immediately clear just how much this day meant to them. Throughout their destination wedding, it was apparent how much thought and intention went into creating their day. From the time they made to spend with one another, to their passionate celebrations with their friends and family, Megan and David made every bit of their wedding day count!

A First Look Before Their Destination Wedding

From the very beginning of the day, Megan and David’s thoughtfulness was present. Like many couples, the two spent their mornings apart, getting ready in the company of their favorite people. What made the morning so special though was how present they were with their friends and family throughout this time. Every moment felt special, as if everyone in the room was making the absolute most of it. After this sweet, and at times emotional, start to their day, it was time for Megan and David’s first look.

The two chose to include this event into the timeline of their destination wedding for a number of reasons. One huge reason is that it gave them an immensely precious moment together. Looking out over the water, the two could be fully present with one another before the craziness of the day unfolded, and wow was it magical! Wedding days FLY by, so having this time together meant a great deal to both Megan and David. The other reason they chose to have a first look was so that we could have their wedding party portraits done during this time. Amidst the beauty of their venue, Megan, David, and their wedding parties all had the best time celebrating the love that had brought them all here today.

Breathtaking Ceremony Inside the Harkness Chapel

After taking our time with wedding party portraits, we made our way to the historic chapel for the next big moment of their destination wedding, the ceremony. Megan wore a blusher veil as she walked down the aisle past her and David’s loved ones, each watching her with looks of adoration and absolute joy. Everything felt so warm and full of love as her father gave her away to David. Their ceremony was filled with song, tradition, and the support of all of their family and friends in attendance. It was the perfect time and space for these two to begin the journey of marriage with one another.

After saying their I do’s, Megan and David spent some time inside the wonderful chapel with family and friends. The two took portraits with their loved ones, and were sure to really take it all in as the beautiful reality of their marriage to one another set in.

A Fun Filled Reception for Their Destination Wedding

After returning back to their venue, Megan changed into dress number two for the evening, which was simple yet breathtaking. The classic look had a beautiful sheer bow on the back that billowed in the breeze while walking along the water.  After spending some time alone together, and after their guests had been seated, Megan and David were announced for the first time as newlyweds! The two could not have made a more grand entrance for their first appearance, as they walked down a gorgeous wooden staircase to enter their reception space. They went immediately into their first dance which felt regal and yet completely grounded in their love. The rest of this amazing evening was filled with toasts, SO much dancing, the sweetest wedding cake, and near endless celebration.

The festivities of their destination wedding did have to come to an end at some point unfortunately! As they capped off their evening, Megan changed into her final look for the night, a beautiful vintage beaded gown which was the perfect style for her as she and David made their getaway into the night together.

I absolutely adore every single moment from Megan and David’s destination wedding. It’s a breathtaking, incredibly inspiring celebration of love that showcases how magical a wedding can be!
